I originally flew to Fairbanks to get away from the city life and disconnect a bit. Carol's cottage couldn't have been more perfect. This is a 15 minute drive from the airport in the northern part of Fairbanks. Directions were easy to follow and a mailbox on the side of the road has the address on it, so it's easy to spot. The cottage was stocked with coffee, snacks, cooking equipment, towels, linens, and everything else you'd need outside of actual groceries, but the grocery stores close by. The one and only word of caution goes to those that are 6 ft. tall or more. You may find the sleeping area and bathroom a bit of a tight squeeze. The area was quiet. Peacefully quiet. I would sit outside and enjoy the silence. If you rent a car, everything Fairbanks has to offer is only a scenic drive away. From Aurora Borealis, to Denali, breweries, museums, scenic views, all very accessible. I will definitely recommend this location to everyone I know and will also plan to visit again myself.

Great little cottage;
It is nicely decorated with a coffee bar and welcome snack basket. Don’t let the distance from town bother you. It was convenient to all the attractions and downtown. The host was very nice, the beds comfortable. The loft had an air conditioner but with the ceiling fan we were comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend it to friends.
